Construction Updates

The present hospital facility was built in the 1960's and has been renovated in every way, short of building on, to accommodate the needs of present day technology and health care services.  Backed by the community and staff, Coulee Medical Center broke ground for a new facility in August 2009. It will be filled with state-of-the-art equipment and staffed by top of the line providers.

The slower pace of living, coupled with a beautiful area offering wonderful recreational opportunities, continues to make a pleasant community for families with young children as well as attractive to a growing number of retired people.  The new Coulee Medical Center facility will certainly be a boon to both the business and community needs of the Coulee area.

70% COMPLETE

60 workers on site make the CMC construction project over 70% finished.

The Clinic is the closest to completion with floor covering, toilet fixtures, ceiling and tile all in place.

All areas of the new facility are now completely sheet-rocked and awaiting texture and a coat of paint.

The courtyard has received it’s final stucco finish and three, large blue “H’s” have been placed in the North East, North West and South East corners of the roof. These are used to distinguish the building as a hospital.

Light fixtures, cabinets and ceramic, bathroom tile all started to make their way into place recently.

The CMC Dietary Department treated the hardworking construction workers to a barbeque, during the week prior to Independence Day. The “Thank You,” grilled up by MaryAnn and Kathy, was welcomed with many smiles and “Thank You’s” in return.

Live photos of the construction are now available on our web page! Two cameras were set up, on site, to take pictures at 30 second intervals. The constant visual updates allow us to share our progress with everyone! Go to the CMC Construction Camera page to see what's going on right now!
